Happiness. It’s a word tossed around often, but truly achieving it can feel like a lifelong pursuit. Yet, what if happiness wasn’t something to chase but a treasure already hidden within you?
In this blog post, we’ll embark on a journey to discover the true riches of happiness. We’ll explore the idea that happiness isn’t just about external factors like wealth or possessions, but rather a cultivated state of being.
Join us as we delve into:
So, grab a cup of tea (or coffee, whichever fuels your fire!), and get ready to unlock the happiness that’s already waiting to be discovered within you.
Happiness isn’t a one-size-fits-all destination, but rather a journey of self-discovery and cultivating habits that bring you joy.
Think about your past experiences and break these down into 3 different types of happiness, based on:
- Experiences
- Growth
- Meaning
For example:
- Experiences: travelling, falling in love, taking a puppy, moving into a new home, or driving that car you dream on all the time, etc.
- Growth: what books you have read, how has your body changed, what new practices you have taken on, etc.
- Meaning: contribution to the world, family, children, the impact of your work, etc.
All this boost our happiness. But is one thing all these boost of happiness have to do with the chemical coming throw our body like dopamine, serotonin that actually induce different kind of happiness.
We are becoming happy when we are traveling or falling in love. When we move into a new home and having that positive energy with starting something from the beginning. Being respectful in our business place with our colleagues. This is the happiness we are getting from our experiences.
Give somebody a pill and induce happiness, he will be happy for a moment, but is this happiness real? Let’s think that we are non stop pumping our body with these “happiness” chemicals. Would we be too blissed to care about what happen in the world?? would we be truly fulfilled?
So if we define happiness in a simple way as most people do. We will create a future in the human race where we take you put in a machine and fill you with the blissful chemicals and your life will be completed.
Do you think this will be right? This isn’t the real happiness. You see is a second type of happiness, which is more important according to me. And this is the happiness from Growth.
When you finish a book, when we go out from gym as we gave the best of us to ourselves. When we came out from a seminar, etc. This creates a boost of real happiness. This is a far healthier type of the happiness.
Another type of happiness is Happiness from Meaning. What does it mean that?
This type of happiness will come to us when we are living a life that has a meaning. When we serve others for example. Being a parent is the most beauty happiness. We are sleepless, having poop maybe in our clothes, hairs not combed, but is there more happiness to see our child smiling us cause his tummy is full, he is clean and slept well last night.
But are you living the life in states of wonder? Are you having beautiful moments day to day that give you elevated spark of joy? Are you growing on the daily basis? Are you investing in personal growth? Are you in a job where you are serving the others?
Serving others is not only gives you happiness but also improves your health.
Happiness is not about money, or how big is your bank account. In this life you can find your happiness in many ways. Is your choice to be happy or not. To find happiness in your chosen things or daily life.
Think a moment about this 3 type of happiness and find your way to be happy.
